Giant 35,000 gallon water tank delivered

The Fresno Bee

June 27, 2017 – Crews from Central Valley Tank in Fresno transported an all-new, custom-built 35,000 gallon fire protection water tank to the Fresno Aquarium property today. The tank was funded through our From the Ground Up capital campaign as a vital component that needs to be in place prior to beginning construction of our very first building.

With local news media on hand, the tank was set on the concrete pad that was constructed this past spring. It will be bolted down in the next few days.

The tank will be connected to our onsite water well that was upgraded with a new 5-horsepower pump motor last year by Horner & Sons Well Drilling of Madera. Horner was also able to secure a donation of a Pentek Intellidrive™ Water Pressure Control Center, an “Intelligent Variable Frequency Drive” that directs changes in submersible pump motor speed, responding to fluctuations in demand. This means our well pump operates much more efficiently.

Stay tuned for more progress as Jerico Fire Protection of Fresno constructs a new water main from the water tank down to a new fire hydrant near our building pad. Once all this infrastructure is in place, filled with water and signed-off by North Central Fire Protection District, we will be able to start on the building!

Please donate or donate again by putting your name, your family name or your business name on one or multiple concrete blocks here.

A giant 35,000 gallon thank you to all who have contributed to get us to this monumental point!
